Drive to Sun City, one of South Africa’s largest pleasure resorts. There are 4 hotels, each with its own swimming pool and dozens of leisure activities. Spend some time at the “ Valley of Waves” with its palm trees and man made sea complete with waves and beaches. There are waterfalls, which can be “navigated” in tubes for those who want a bit of excitement. On the lake the more energetic could go paragliding or windsailing (extra charge). Less strenuous would be a round of golf where the annual 1 Million Dollar golf Tournament is held. For the less active there are casinos and indoor games and a number of cinemas.

Early morning game-drive in the adjacent Pilanesberg Game Reserve. Situated in the crater of extinct volcanoes the reserve is home to the “Big Five” and a large variety of antelope. Return to Sun City and the remainder of the day is at leisure. You may like to visit the elephant centre – or even take a short elephant back safari (own expense),visit the Crocodile Farm or simply relax.
